Vaccinations

There are a few things that we require from you in order to board your cat at our facility. These are for the safety and well being of all felines in our care.
These are the up to date vaccinations that we require with proof from your veterinarian:
Rabies (1,2 or 3 year vaccine)
F.V.R.C.P. (1,2 or 3 year vaccine for upper respiratory airborne viruses including calcivirus, rinovirus and panolukema.)

Feline Leukemia shot is not required since no cat is allowed to be in contact with another cat while out of their condo or suite and in play areas. The transmission of Feline Leukemia is only possible through intimate contact, therefore, only cats from the same family are allowed out on the playground area at any given time. All immunizations must be completed at least two weeks prior to boarding to insure that there are no side effects. We will only accept proof of vaccination from a licensed veterinarian. We cannot accept owner vaccinated cats in our facility.

Spay / Neuter

All cats over six months of age must be spayed or neutered..

All cats over six months of age must be spayed or neutered.

Pre-Boarding Examination

Illness issues must be discussed as to whether it is controlled by medication and is not communicable through the air. We can give oral medications, but do not give injections. There is a $1.00 per dose fee for administering medicines. If the cat becomes overly stressed or aggressive...it is possible that we can't give them the medicine however..this is usually not the case. Some cats act differently to strangers administering medicines in a new setting than they do at home.

All medicine must be properly labeled and in the original container. All prescription medication must have the veterinarian’s name and phone number and clear, readable directions and dosage printed on the medication. Medicines must be in a sealable, “Zip-Loc” type bag or other sealable container and labeled with owner's and cat's names.

What to Bring

If you desire, please bring a limited amount items which are familiar to your cat or may have the owner’s scent on them, such as a t-shirt, small towel or blanket or their favorite toy. These items must be identified for return later and in good enough condition so the cat cannot swallow parts of the item and otherwise be harmed. One or two favorite toys in good condition are OK but, of course, it is subject to wear and tear and we cannot be responsible for its condition at pick up time.

Check In / Check Out

Our hours are of necessity for the continuity of our cleaning, insurance coverage reasons and for cats to be able to enjoy time out undisturbed. Changing the hours can be chaotic for the cats due to our unique way of catering to cats, their needs and the uninterrupted work and entertainment required to accomplish it. Therefore, adjustments to these hours will be rare and IF agreed to cost $35.00 per agreed change.

Soiled carriers soiled due to vomit or feces/urination during traveling to our facility can be cleaned and disinfected by us for $10.00 per carrier or the customer has the option to take it home and clean it. If the cat has urine or feces or vomit on its' fur..then it must be cleaned at our facility/bathtub using waterless shampoo and warm water rinses to remove it before going to the enclosure with the assistance of the owner to help restrain the cat during clean up. The charge for this service/bath is also $10.00.

We are closed Sundays and Major Holidays for pick up and drop off. All other work continues for your cats of course.

Cat Personalities / Likes and Dislikes

It is important to inform us of your cat's likes and dislikes. For instance, some cats like to be petted in some ways but not others. If your cat is sensitive about this, let us know where the "no go" zones are if there are any areas of previous injury or special handling that we should employ for your cat's comfort and our safety as well. Cat's that have extreme behavior or fear issues may not be accepted unless it is temporary and then adjusts to being calmer prior to boarding. We aren't too picky though as we've experienced all types of cats over the years and can handle them safely but there are limits to this of course.

Medical Emergencies

We must have your veterinarian’s phone number, location and paperwork from the vet indicating your cat's identification so medical records and history can be accessed by a veterinarian should the need arise. In the event of an emergency illness while your cat is in our care, we will make all reasonable efforts to use your veterinarian, unless they are not available soon enough to attempt necessary medical aid for your cat. In this event, we will use the services of the nearest available animal emergency hospital to get medical aid for them. We will, of course, render any immediate aid that we are qualified to give while seeking medical help.

The Boarding Agreement will spell out the terms of what we are able to do, how it is to be paid for, the limits of expenditure on aid which are decided by the cat's owner in advance and the agreements if any with the cat owner's veterinarian or an emergency veterinarian which may be required to insure prompt medical attention for your cat.
